Very nice base for a city, you just feel like you're in the one of the Lovecraft's stories about nameless city (as for me ) Good luck with your work, I believe with more m2s it would be much better.

Thank all for your replies, 1st post updated with new pics.
For Amaroth: You gave me a nice idea about the future of this zone. I think, if plague won't capture it faster than winter, I'll definitely remake it New water color (I did some practice with it, that one is the most realistic I could get, maybe later I'll change it again) Night time water color Loading Screen *Thank ChristianGerth from deviantart for his amazing work (used here). 23

So, here I am with new Lordaeron themed showoff. At this time it won't be a huge city or whole Lordaeron zone reconstructed. Just a little village, that would be a great place to show how Lordaeronish people lived.

Level Design / Re: Weird ground texture« on: November 28, 2014, 08:02:24 pm »
You're thinking in right direction, but everything is all the way around
_env terrain shaders mostly used in adts 3.x+ and, as you can guess taliis is a bit outdated programm and it more likely doesn't support those shaders (while creating wdts and adts). But if we'll talk about cataclysm, then nearly all maps of this expansion support those shaders. The sad thing is that Eastern Kingdoms 3.3.5 adts (which I think you used for convert) don't support them. So, as resolution of your problem, I can suggest you to convert your adts from cataclysm to 3.3.5 and use them with original cata wdt. Then you'll be probably able to convert them back and use on 4.3.4 without any problems. (There is not much hope on this way, In fact I didn't even tried to make any kind of level-design mods on cata so all of this about convert is only my theory) 25
Level Design / Re: Weird ground texture« on: November 28, 2014, 05:28:49 pm »
Its probably because of _env terrain shaders flag on your wdt. Unfortunately, you can't have adt without _env terrain shaders on your map if your wdt supports it, and with it if your wdt doesn't support it. (Also it could be a bug with Uncompress alphamap mode which known for noggit ver<1.3)

You have to make textures both for faciallower and scalpupper (upper and lower textures). Resolution you have to set is the same as for face textures (facial and scalp are 512x512 so you have to make 256x64 and 256x128 from them). After that just edit dbc correctly and here you go.
Also, with simple math I got that the best scale for face texture in blender (resizing by Y) is 0.375. Result with this value is much more better than with the "freeskill". |
