Post by: Ohai on January 26, 2015, 11:24:24 pm
So I tried do swap some BLP files 1st time ever today and at the end got them instead of seeing the green texture, downloaded gimp at the end just to convert the png from photoshop, to TGA in gimp, then used BLPlab to switch that to BLP2? well anyway that kinda works altho not perfect, characters get these darker blocks on them, what is this? and what is the is the best way and optimal settings for custom BLPs/PNGs etc?

[SOLVED] by myself, again.. :b neway found this http://www.edowner.net/Texture-Tutorial/ (http://www.edowner.net/Texture-Tutorial/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) point being fuck BLPs and BLPlab lol, you just insert TGA apperently wow reads it fine.

When you're done editing it in photoshop just click channels, add new one (alpha 1) make all channels visible then select Alpha 1 and the parts you cut out of it become visible ingame. So if youre texture isnt transparent you just select the channel Alpha 1 click on it, then click Select - Select All on upper toolbar and delete it  ;)
