Are the mountains on a separated layer? If they are try to change their color to brown and they will look like the original ones. And if i may ask why do you use CS2? Use CS6 i think its the most decent version of photoshop out there.

Try increasing the saturation and tweaking the lightness of the mountains, if you can.

Change blend mode of the layer. And try transparency.
Just install CS again so i cant have a look. One blend mode set the mountain Color end brightness near to Background. So you can add grean mountains and they get liek the Background.

If I have installed I can have a look. Just went to W10.
