[Mountains Style] - Another example of mine.
« on: May 30, 2014, 07:03:50 pm »
Greetings,

After a month full of exams, 12 days without internet connection and many others, I've just had one thing left to do on my PC, and it was Noggit, of course.

Here's a style of mountains of mine. I will try to end up with a zone from these but hopefully I won't stop.

Thanks.

Actually I cannot. They are using scaled textures. Yes, you heard right, they can scale textures.

Moreover they can use 6 textures per chunks since WoD. It gives them much more liberty

WoWEdit can also use depth maps to paint in between the cracks of textures (for instance, painting snow into the cracks of rocks), can paint vertex shading/lighting, and a whole lot more. On top of that you can see edits made in real time in a running copy of WoW. It’s a really nice tool, I wish someone would leak a copy already.

If it leaked, I'd have no doubt there would be people able to circumvent the connection to the server to get it working. But I highly doubt it'll ever even be leaked. There's no reason why it should.

On-Topic; The mountains look nice, but I personally don't find the dirt fitting with the rocky textures. But, that's my opinion ;).
