This cata map works flawlessly on my wotlk. But when i tried to load it in Noggit i got strange, annoying, vertical strips that are changing constantly when i'm moving around. Did anyone came across similar issue? Any ideas how to fix this? Is it possibly height map problem or else? Once again: it works very well in wotlk client, just not in Noggit.
EDIT:
I accidently tried to disable water display and problem disappeared. So it is related to water on the map. I investigated a bit more and water edit says "0 - unknown type". Changing water with water edit does absolutely nothing and it is still of unknown type. I'm clueless :/

This cata map
Noggit does not support Cata, and quite frankly we don't care about that.
-
It's a downconverted cata map, not regular one. I'm just asking how to fix water.

I am aware of that, it doesn't change anything on that front though. It is a "converted" map from Cataclysm. Noggit does not support that stuff, and will never do.
The is is MCNK saying there would be MCLQ but there not being any but just pointing to raw data.

Just Clear the water on every ADT it will fix it
-
Should i use Noggit for this or another tool? Because i actually tried to clear water in fact but after save and reload of the map it still says type 0. Also, how do i select particular ADT in Noggit? Is it selected automatically after doing any change to a chunk within ADT?
-
"select" ADT? You don't select any ADT, all ADT related tools just apply their effect on ADT you are on.
-
Ok thanks, i get it. Still can't clear the water.
-
u have to clear the water on every adt arround you which contains cata water in noggit, I suggest to follow the beach and look down witth the camera and go around your island, its a 2 min job.
-
Thank you very much. That really worked. Before i was just trying to clear while staying in the middle of that mess and it never went away. I now realized that those stripes might be coming from another ADT. I solved it by going up very high and looking down so it was in fact easy to see all the area, quickly move between ADTs and remove the crap. Lesson learned!

Good to help, have a nice modding!

I'm having loads of fun and improving skills every day, thanks! Hope to publish some preview soon. I just wish someone yet helped me to understand why modding blizzard maps doesn't work and i always get original map displayed by client. I tried in another topic but got no satisfactory response.
-
Because there's none. You must be doing something horribly wrong. We were all doing this for years without any problems. Well, we enjoyed dozens of problems, but none was related to fact that edits would not apply. That was always the least of our worries because at least this with blizzlike map works.

I even took Stormwind map out of client and put it into the folder. I then physically removed SW map from client's MPQ. I made changes to the map (objects, terrain) and i saved it. And client still shows original, unchanged map. Where does it even get it from then? Same happend to development map. While i use same technique to edit my custom map, build from scratch, and it works like a charm with every single edit. So, even though i trust your experience, i simply can't trace it down and find out what on earth am i doing wrong.
