Title: The shaders for cataclysm water
Post by: Ascathos on June 18, 2012, 03:58:42 pm
Hello, I'd like to try around and implement the Cataclysm water in WotLK. Searching around, I found out (through schlumpf, such a surprise really :p) the engine is already implemented with LK, but not activated - I'd like to do that. So I'd require to know where I can find them, because I am unable to just yet.

As I replied: ProcedualWaterTest. Or something like that. LiquidType.dbc has less than 30 rows. How hard can it be looking through that?

I think we've done it on CU actually, didn't seem hard but I can't tell how much work he put into it xD

The shaders themselves are okay - thanks for the information. I guess though that implementing things like the structure of the water and how it's "ripples" are different is not possible due client ?

EDIT: Cata ripples/water movement effect to WotLK in this particular example
