Title: Custom Cutscene on WOW 3.3.5a
Post by: Piccolodmq on May 05, 2017, 08:11:08 am
Is there a way to make a cutscene play (like the classic one fromo wotlk, where the lich king fights Bolvar, and the Horde, and Putricide, comes along, etc).  After I finish a quest?

If so, is it possible to put a custom AVi, or other format on it?

Ok, thanks for the guide.  So I guess there is no way of "retroporting" the cinematics from the CATACLYSM patch files.   That info seems to be for "creating a new character kind of camera where it follows in game".   I meant like a cutscene like bolvars cutscene, or when you kill the Lich King, or the intro of the game.   I think those are different.

After I add them, should I just edit the movie.dbc file? Should it have Any random ID number?

I followed this guide (I know its old).

http://www.modcraft.io/index.php?topic=10879.msg59876#msg59876

I edited FileData.dbc ,Movie.dbc, MovieFileData.dbc MovieVariations.dbc

Following the guide.  I didnt did the C++ part because that seems to be a part for the character starting zone part that I dont need.

I created a NPC with smart scripts that triggers cinematics, and it works.   I am testing the custom cinematic with a custom ID and nothing.   Here are the pictures.

i PUTTED the .AVI custom movie in patch-enUS-3, and custom DBC in patch-enUS-w
