[QUESTION] Spell Edition
« on: March 09, 2013, 09:15:54 pm »
Hello everyone. I hope this isn't replied in other posts, because sadly the forum is quite large and I hadn't had the chance to check it all up like I should've, so I apologize beforehand if this thread is upseting in any way.

I have a WoW server ad i'm interested in experimenting with creating new spells. Nothing big, perhaps just change some basic values like cooldowns or damage, or only modify the visuals. I would like to know about the limitations and how-to's of the matter. Changing the name and description of certain spells would be most useful, or even duplicating existing spells.

My server's running on Windows, using Trinity Core. Thank you.

Extrack Spell.dbc, open it with a dbc editor and following this structure add (or modify) a line. Then add the dbc to pach and server and you are done.
It´s difficult to do a cool and useful spells, so you need to spend some time practising and investigating.

As said above, do all that. Modifying spells is easy, and here's, a reference sheet to help understand it.
