Noggit closes on start up.
« on: March 12, 2014, 10:55:07 am »
I've been trying to figure out how to get Noggit to work. I've done everything that is said to be done..
Only issue I have run into is the; Uncheck read only box. As my WoW folder in my Documents when going into the properties, has a blue box in the read only box. And When I click it and click apply. It doesn't seem to want to stay unchecked.. I have attempted that much.. But, here is my log.. In hopes someone can help me out.

I assume wrong or missing rights with your user on the wow folder. You may wanna set the right correct or try the latest noggit version which is SDL1.3

All your local mpqs are missing.  Have a look if there any mpqs in data/engb

@Steff: That's what I had to do to get SDL 1.1 working the first time I ever downloaded it, different strokes for different folks.

@Bedroom: what does your config file for noggit say? I don't have anything wow related installed at the moment but I'm sure you know what I'm referring to. post that in full if it's not too much trouble.  As well as a screenshot of the folder(including address) of where your Wow.exe sits at on your HDD.

But this open wow thing only helpsnif you have no config file.
Opening wow uldates the registry entry ofnthe game.  So nkggit can find the right gamepath.
If it use the configfilenit just usenthe path defined in it.

His problem is that the folder data/enUS

Do not contain any local mpq
Or contain them but cant read them
