Even if the community can't move up to 6.0 as the de facto standard for modding, I hope the new race models can be cleanly backported to 3.3.5. They're absolutely gorgeous so far… Blizzard's art team has outdone themselves once again.

Cata/MoP/WoD have some nice technical capabilities that I'd really love to be able to use on a mod server, though… things like texture scaling, model to terrain blending, height-based texture painting, and terrain phasing are just great. Cata also added to ability to have ceiling terrain, which was intended for Deepholme but they opted to use a giant M2 instead. That'd be really nice for underground zones/dungeons. The code is still in the client, we just have to figure out how to use it.

Couldn't we mimic something like that in noggit if we produced our own heightmaps for textures? We might also be able to use spec maps for makeshift height maps

Not sure, I just remember them mentioning in an interview that they had the tools team add ceiling terrain capabilities to the engine so Deepholme could have a roof, but ultimately never used that capability. This would imply that you can have both somehow.

As it is a WDT flag, this does not really seem possible. Most likely why they scratched it.

Neither has he drank the blood nor seen the wars on Azeroth.
He has only heard tales of his father, and he himself stood behind when his father went to war because he was sick.

I won't like to see one, but if blizz does it, they have to do it right :)

Axel, Garrosh didn't drink the demonblood but his father was also bloodthirsty before the demonblood. Garrosh is twice the orc Grom ever was.

In the books Grom is mentioned to be able to control his bloodthirst in battle. He is also said to have a high regard of honor, something Garrosh clearly lacks.

and yea we all know garrosh is beneath that, but why?
He has a shifted vision of what the horde really is.
Maybe even a shifted image of himself.
he may have done bad, Theramore.
I hate him for that, Jaina suffered a lot from it. First Arthas, then Kael'Thas then her father and then her subjects and city ;)
as I said i want him to die a horrible death but lets just look at why he did this.
