Title: [QUESTION] Tricking BattlEye [ArmA 2 OA]
Post by: Yolo33 on July 26, 2015, 07:23:33 pm
Can anyone help me with faking a client version (aka Version Spoofing) please? I need to find it in the .DLL file but I don't know the function.

You mean viewtopic.php?f=61&t=7213 (http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=61&t=7213" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)? Yeah, but that method does not work for the DLL file. I need to trick the DLL into thinking it's the latest client version.

Here is the website of the DLL:
http://www.battleye.com/downloads/ (http://www.battleye.com/downloads/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

Just FYI in case it's not blatantly obvious, this is a Wow modding forum. For other games, go somewhere else.

that website lists a shitload of downloads. Which one are you even talking about. What version do you want to spoof? what is this even about?

Looks like he wants to avoid an anti-cheat system for a FPS game. This isn't what this forum is about, even if you are posting in the 'random' section. In fact this site is quite anti-hacks/exploits.

Okay, do we need a 40 page ToS for every forum explaining in detail what is and isn't approved off?

Like I said, I want to spoof the version of the DLL, that means I have to change the func "GetVer" to return the version, but I do not know how.

That thing is heavily obfuscated. I don't think just editing is feasible.

It is possible, you just need to know how which I don't. That's why I'm here but it seems like not even one has a clue. Very strange..

You're asking for something that as I said above is a shitload of work and hard, in a forum that is not even remotely about this topic. People will probably not know how to do it, just like you. Try a forum actually made for this topic.

Did that, nobody is answering. Don't forget that this is the "Random" forum.

This forum is quite anti-hacking. You are looking to bypass the anti-cheat by the looks of it, so a lot of people will not touch it. Also your attitude is not exactly inspiring.

We know that this is the Random forum. Still, this is a WoW modding community, so people just don't know shit about what you want.

That doesn't change the fact. Just because this is a "WoW Forum" doesn't mean you can't post anything else than WoW. Random is random.

I am NOT saying you can't post it here. I am only saying that not getting any reply should be the expected result due to the reasons given.

You could atleast try to look for what is checking your current .dll.

Huh? I can't check what is done outside of the dll, and the dll itself is heavily obfuscated, as I said.

It is actually not a function inside the DLL, it's the connection that you get that checks your current .DLL. Nothing has to be changed in the .DLL. I don't think it's that hard for you to find out what connection it is.

Can't lock because the OP is in the correct section; Random. The question is also legit and I am requesting the OP to 'fix' the topic because it is misleading.

On the other hand, to the OP Yolo33, I would like to remind you that requesting info on other subjects not related to World of Warcraft on a World of Warcraft forum and not obtaining answers should be expected. Regardless if it's in the Random section or not. That is common sense.

I need you to edit your topics info so that it is more specific please; Specify it is not for WoW

Nevertheless, goodluck and I hope you find answers.

Please try to be polite and respectful my friend. I don't want to have to come back a second time for no good reason :)

Happy modding.
