Hey there,
I packed some .wmos into an .mpq to use them in noggit (to convert it to 6.2.4 later)
But the WMV will not load the MPQ, it just errors out:
18:38:29: Opening D:\WoDModding\Clients\3.3.5a\Data\patch-a.mpq
18:38:29: Error opening archive D:\WoDModding\Clients\3.3.5a\Data\patch-a.mpq

18:38:30: Opening D:\WoDModding\Clients\3.3.5a\Data\enUS\base-enUS.MPQ
I am not quite sure how to tackle this problem as it will not load the MPQ.
I already searched for various keywords, but i can't find a thread similiar to this.
Thanks in advance

Incorrect path? Incorrect access rights to file? Missing listfile? Can't think of more possibilitties.
-
Hey Amaroth, thanks for that quick response! What do you mean by Access Rights?
-
Right-click a file, go to its Properties, take a look at Attributes at the bottom of dialogue window which appears.
-
Oh you mean that settings. Nah, they look fine

Side info: WMOS dont need to be converted to 6.2.4 3.3.5 wmos work in a wod client
-
It is the other way around. I want to place 6.2.4 Wmos in Noggit (which is based on 3.3.5) to use them in the WoD Client
-
ah got your sentence wrong

Have you tired to create the mpq from scratch from a folder?

What version of MPQEditor are you using? I had all kinds of issues with some of newer versions, resulting in corruption of MPQs and so on.
I keep using old 3.2.0.535. This version works flawlessly for me. I really suspect that you've got corrupted archive in some way.

Also just try to create an MPQ from a folder like i describe in the tutorial. Also name it .MPQ not .mpq. Was a problem in the past. Don´t know if still is.
