Sorry for doing a little bit of necromancy on this thread, but just wanna say:
There are specific auras which make deathwind (also works with other aspects) use certain animation:

Hover: 110649
Fly: 98723
Sit (works for any dragon model): 87458

You could try using these auras.

oh hey lol. I did get this working. oh god im reading through this again. I was so inexperienced.
