[QUESTION] Colliding two different models into one?

(1/2) > >>

spiderwaseem:
Hello everyone!

I'm trying to create a new race out of existing creature files.
By that, I mean I would like to take an existing race model, put it on Blender, and use another creature's files to switch out the head, hands, feet, etc... I believe this won't require any UV-remapping (I believe I said the right word).

When it comes to model editing, I'm a newbie.
So please leave comments like you're teaching something new to someone for the first time.
Basically, as many details as possible.

Any help is appreciated.
Also, please don't be that person that gives the smallest hints, or gives the briefest description.
Be helpful, and give me as much information as possible!

Thank You.

pick up one model inmport it to blender thru M2i then import another parts of another races and rigifi them but that work for 6 hours ++ if you want to have them perfect

I've tried m2i, however, I get errors using M2Mod3.
So I was told to use M2Mod4 and import the models from WoD, then downport to WoTLK.
That's completely fine. The only issue I'm having is using another creature's model parts to put them on the new "race".
I don't know how to "copy" and "paste" (I know I'm using the wrong words here) from a model to another model to replace a part of the model.

Any help on that would be great.

Thanks for being the only person to give a reply btw.

Thanks, I'll take some time to learn Blender Tutorials. ^^
But it still would be good to get some info from here.
