[SHOWOFF] (UPDATE 01.05.2014) Jungle Islands [WIP]

update

Ok, I don't understand you anymore. First you make only mountains on your previous maps, and now you come with those totally stretched mountains ? Well, I imagine you grew tired of doing them, so you decided to work them later, though that was a surprise coming from you.

Well, except this point, the object spawning is actually getting good  :)  , even if there are still things that can get better, for instance here :

You should play more with the inclinaison of the bombs, since when are the orcs so organized that even the wicks of their bombs are all facing the same direction ?

The big problem of the map is that we really feel the fact that you used WoD objects only because you wanted to use them AS new objects, and not in order to create something you wanted independantly. Though this is not so much a big deal, those kind of objects are fun to use. But never forget that it's better to use your objects as the mean of your creation, and not that your objects become the only purpose of the map. I don't know if you got what I mean.

Also, you shouldn't hesitate about using a strong pressure for your textures, expecially about grass :

On your map it's too blurry, we know it's grass, but yet it looks weird. The WoD objects make it even more visible.

As a comparison,  you can see that Blizzard use small radius, but strong intensity for this kind of grass. This difference can be explained by the fact that Blizzard doesn't use the same kind of brush than us. Noggit's brush was not the first one to appear actually.

You can of course get a close result with Noggit's brush, but it takes more time. There are really something to change about that point. We need more contrast.

Oh, by the way, we can't really say those are jungle islands.

I agree with Allifeur, you should use opacity not low pressure ;p

a ground doodad or placed m2?

I noticed your img says the cemetery, (map name/area) mine does too... do you know how to fix that?
