If there is one. --- End quote --- I don't. These errors are useless as shit.
What I actually mean:
--- Quote ---Im using noggit --- End quote --- Obvious.
--- Quote ---working on azhara crater --- End quote --- Worthless information.
--- Quote ---it wont save --- End quote --- Okay, it is saving related.
--- Quote ---properly --- End quote --- Define properly.
--- Quote ---will crash or glitch --- End quote --- What do you mean by "glitch"? This could be anything.
--- Quote ---it didnt crash or glitch --- End quote --- That has been when? Under which conditions? Where exactly is the difference. Without this information: Useless information.
--- Quote ---but now ive dont some serious work --- End quote --- Worthless information.
--- Quote ---it wont save Buildings --- End quote --- I thought it would crash or glitch?
--- Quote ---the entire area disappears --- End quote --- How is it "disappearing"? Is it visible at first, then slowly fading away?
--- Quote --- or gives me a WoW error --- End quote --- The ADT might be damaged then.
As you can see from the log, noggit emitted, the only saving related line is:
--- Quote ---85304 - (MPQ.cpp:327): Saving file "e:/games/world of warcraft/world/maps/pvpzone02/pvpzone02_31_32.adt". --- End quote --- That's nothing that could help understanding your problem at all. The problem here is not that noggit crashes, but that WoW crashes. How in hell should Noggit know why wow crashes? Correct, it can't.
Steff:
Sometimes the wow error lit what files crash it. So me it helped many times.
Keta:
To elaborate Schlumpf last lines...
The reason that Noggit can't tell anything about why WoW crashes (in most cases anyway) is because Noggit in theory doesn't have anything to do with Wow. Noggit and Wow isn't build up with the same structure, which means problems such as lighting or files or whatever, might not crash Noggit cause it doesn't load it, but crashes wow because it tries to load it, but fails. So on some points Noggit is more failsafe than Wow, but then again not. And as Steff said, the WowError can sometimes help. Usually it tells you if you're missing a custom model or something in the MPQs. Or if an ADT is missing or something. Not usually though.
Hope this helped some people understand a bit more regarding Noggit and how it works "alongside" the Wow client.
Thanks Keta
