Yes, it is possible to convert them without animations (or using existing animations, as i did with the troll female from wow beta).
If you manage to convert them to 3.X or 4.X with animations, it will be quite pointless, because they only have a bunch of animations (unless you use them only as NPCs).
The Blood Elf from Burning Crusade alpha is almost the same as the actual model, just some different hairstyles and skinny body:

The Female has many different animations though.
The Male doesn't but has a different hairstyle as you posted.

Is it possible to port the female human model to 1.12 with the alpha animations? waiting for that tutorial ^.^
