[QUESTION] [REQUEST] Change music in Tirisfal Glades
<< < (2/3) > >>
Milly:
No version requires a listfile. That makes itself automatically and you don't technically need it either. But that patch name won't work in Cata. Like I said earlier, name it SoundCache-Patch-15595.MPQ and stick it in Data/Cache/
Alternatively, you can crack the client to read directly from the Data/ folder. I've never done this so can't help.
Смердокрыл:
I already have a SoundCache-patch-15595 file, so I decided to add the music in there. However, I can only create one folder there and add the music in it (etc SoundUndercity01-zone.mp3), because when I create two folders (etc SoundMusic) and try to add the music in it (SoundMusicUndercity01-zone.mp3), the mpq editor says "File "Sound" already exists in the MPQ archive. Do you want to replace it?". Then, no matter if I choose to replace or not, the music isnt added, but a file "Sound" is instead created in the main directory of the MPQ.
Milly:
I don't really know what you're talking about. But you should only have one patch
--- Code: ---World of Warcraft 4.3.4 Data Cache SoundCache-Patch-15595.MPQ DBFilesClient LightIntBand.dbc SoundEntries.dbc ZoneMusic.dbc GameObjectDisplayInfo.dbc Sound Music Custom YourSong.mp3 --- End code ---
I won't help any further.
Смердокрыл:
I tried to do exactly what you said, but when I try to add the music file into the Custom folder, it just doesnt add. Instead, the editor creates a "Sound" file in the main directory of the mpq.
Milly:
Sigh... Idk why it's doing that. I think you just need to use "Build the MPQ archive from a file or directory" which is an option you can select when creating a new MPQ in Ladik's MPQ Editor. Don't try to add/remove files directly into the MPQ Editor program, it's extremely bugged in my experience. Always build your patches from a folder on your harddrive.
