Nude wow, that's crazy lol:)) Howevery, i tought it was about making and RPGmmo with same gameplay and stuff and your link proves that is verry possible making it in a way more polished graphics and styles without blizzard can claim anything.
Threre are also some mmos that runs on unreal engine with same gameplay, same controls and almost same interface as wow has. Check Priston Tale 2, verry similar as wow, the difference are just characters ,the world and ofc the graphics styles and graphics. It was also Elligium, more appropiate but it was shutted down because they launched tera and all players were transfered there.

Yes but a MMO is the biggest thing you can code. And the most good developers dont even take you seriouse if you ask in this way. Its not possible and start wih tetris is the answer :)

In basic the are right and ther are so many dreamers that just start and never ger something done. And if the get something working then where to get content for it.

A started in 2007 the try to make the for me only working thing. A mmo Framework wher you could (like with wow modding) creat your mmo only with scripting and content creations. It should include the server component for login, realms, reagion balancer, update server to deliver updates in the background during play. The client and a editor framework where you can creat and import all the stuff you need. Interface, game logic, game environment and so on.

This is much work and will not be possible to get done by one (perhaps if he is very skilled and have much time and unsopable motivation). And to get a good team running the people out there wont start if you have nothing to show. And i think such a project mus be planed god from start to get it fit in all parts.

In the end it should be like the wow environment but with good editors and not so much chained to the wow game logic.

Hmmm:
coping entire interface, terrains, objects, mechanics, characters, mobs, Npcs, etc, practically entire game as it is and then remodeling terrain, characters NPCs, etc with another more polished styles and graphics can be indeed a huge work but it works with some code modifications.
