[3DSMax] Import/Export WoW Models

Stani:
Is there a way to import WoW models into 3ds Max 2012 (v14) and to export them?
greetings, Stani
arbiter5:
Go into Wow model viewer. Find the particular model you would like to export.
Then export the model as an .OBJ file. Then go into 3ds max and click file on the top left corner, then click import. Go to the location of your new exported .OBJ model, and click the file.
Check all the geosets, check "import as editable poly", and check "import as single mesh". And that's how you import models into 3ds max.

But you should know that there is no working way to get stuff back as fare as i now If thats wrong then correct me ... and write a tutorial how it works ;)

If it would be that easy to convert them back, there would be houndrets of custom models ;)
The only way that i know to get animated(character) models back into wow is the way that vel and zim4k and mjollna are using. I didn't even try to understand that way because what i read from the shoutbox it seems quiet complicated :D
For unanimated models are some converters in the downloads section, but i am not sure which of them works :/
