Hello everyone I thought I'd make a short description of who I am and why I'm here.

My name is Daeree and I'm 16 years old and just recently learned about WoW. I've never been a fan of WoW because of the way my friends have been describing it, after playing two private servers

I've realized I want to know more about what they're talking about and how I can learn noggit and just everything this to  know myself. But that's pretty much it

SS & JO are highly customized servers compared to most private servers. The majority of servers do not use custom patches. Luckily for you, you picked the right place to learn high customization. I'd suggest trying out Steff's tutorial series to start you off with.
