It's an association asking for donations in order to do researches against Amyotophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a motor neurone disease that kills one sufferer out of two by partial paralisy within 3 years, and 96% when it lasts more than 10 years. (correct me if I'm wrong) You can still look on google if you want to know more about it. :roll:
The bucket thing was a way to do publicity by using well-known persons to start a giant chain reaction. But a lot of people only retained the challenge aspect of it : the stupid part was the focus, so the excuse became the reason. It's not anymore (or rarely) some kind of humanitarian antic; only something people do because the others do, some kind of norm that is obeyed only for a better social integration. This specific video is an exemple of it : some random dude that nobody knows throw water on himself and laugh about it... Not that I want to be rude, but keep that video private, we seriously don't care. Only your friends and sociologists do. Nevertheless you can still come and talk about the problems of this world if you wish, but it would feel kind of out of place.

thats good becuase your trying to make others do charity or donate thats respectfull but dont waste alot of water becuase there is people are trying to drink one cup of water to live but still I respect what you think and what is in your heart and its ok to have fun if you use small amount of water all people use some amount for fun im only saying this becuase so many people around the world are doing this so its really big amount of water is wasted :)

Oh my damn, Mr. Farrare. Hundreds of waterparks over the world uses thousands of galleons of water everyday. But if someone pours 5 liters of water over themselves it is the end of the world...

100 of thousands pours 5 liters to themselves around the world and I say if they use smaller mount will be better
and about the Hundreds of waterparks if they can use salt water is better but nevermind he did a great job to make people donate and even I liked his video and subscribed his channel

A usual toilet is using 6 liters per flush. This whole ALS stuff surely is not even close to wasting a relevant amount of water.
