[TOOL] MDLVIS 1.41 (Eng)

Here is the latest and unreleased version of MDLVIS.
Back in 2008, when Wrath of the Lich King was in beta stage, I contacted Alexei (mdlvis creator) because i wanted to do some model peviews for a blog I had, but Blizzard modified the particle structure and wowmodelviewer was outdated. He kindly updated the program he was working on to open those models and some weeks after that he disappeared and never heard from him again.
Anyway, a few weeks later Blizzard updated the file system for a second time, splitting the model files into .m2, .skin and .anim so the program became useless for me (that's the reason i never released it). Some of you have been asking for it, so here it is!

Features:
-Wotlk alpha and beta support
-unspecified bugfixes

As you can see, i was able to open the fire revenant model (mdlvis 1.40 just crashes if you try):


Doesn't work with the chopper mount, i don't know why, but for the rest of the models it seems to work well.

It's nothing special. Just a program which opens lich king beta models (whose only difference with burning crusade models is the particle structure). I used it a few times for rips and model previews, nothing exciting. People think it's something magical, but no.

No, sorry. It's all i have. As i said, the developer disappeared and only sent me this. All i know is that he was working in a 1.42 version but never released it. Also, the forums i used to contact him doesn't seem to exist anymore.

I was once asked to search for this guy. Someone needed a contact with him. I've managed to find his active profile on habrahabr.ru. I don't know if that guy managed to contact him or not.

This version works way better with Wine than the previous one. No idea why. It does not freeze when I try to open the sequence editor anymore. Nice.
Despite its ability to open alpha&beta Wotlk models, it seems to still be able to open standard BC m2s.
