For me one of the more appealing things about WoW and its engine are:

- Graphics and art that look good without being demanding. As long as you follow/mimic Blizzard's art direction with your custom content, it'll look great
- Excellent atmospheric capabilities that make it easy to make a zone look and feel just right
- Really tight, fluid combat system

Configuring a different engine to get just the three above points right is a lot of work, particularly when it comes to look and feel, and if you neglect these points you'll end up a bland, generic looking game with awkward-feeling combat.

Isn't this basically already out? DoTA 2 upgraded to it recently and the workshop uses it. I guess the actual development kit is not available yet.

Its only a map/mod Editor for Dota 2, so you cant make other things with this source 2 editor  atm.

We were using HeroEngine for our game and best thing on it is you pay a they give you complete infrastructure (servers, database etc.) hosted by them and it's optimalized for their engine.

But we went from HE to Unity Engine a developing of game gets faster. HE has many many problems why we left it.

I worked with Unity Engine for about 3 years and now I've worked with Unreal Engine for 1 year and you know what Unreal > Unity.

Support is sublime for Unreal Engine as well.
