I noticed that the main requirement is to set the responding model flag (Column 2) in the CreatureModelData.dbc to "2052" - it basically names all the required values for the game to correspond and loads the textures properly up as player model. If this is not done, it basically "copies" the textures of other, previously cached textures (like, if you load a different race up, have it's texture loaded, then move to the "broken" race and it'll show up that way) as it sees fit. I hope this helps. Make sure that you copy the file into both, your .MPQ and on server!
