Custom Worldmap with GIMP

Hello,
i have a question. I tried to create a own world map with gimp. but it doesnt work.
 i used this tutorial: viewtopic.php?f=21&t=1686
but it doesnt work with gimp :/
does anybody have a tutorial to do it with gimp ?

Clearly as it is a photoshop remplate.  There are no tutorials for that.  You need to be able. To work with gimp and create one from scratch.
