[Question] Open MPQ for re-design

Im new to Modcraft, so be gently :)

I have downloaded a MPQ File where the Emerald Dream is modded. Now i just wanted to make a few changes. Can I open this file and make some changes? (Like a .txt Data and Edit the Text), or what I have to do? Is this even possible?

There is no other magic, really. MPQ is just an archive (like RAR, 7z...) and thats it. Data inside can be modded and then returned back and thus updated.
