Looks like my old post got nuked somehow, but I'm one of the handful of active posters from the United States. It's not bad here but the level of illiteracy when it comes to computers, programming, and STEM here is really unbelievable. It's way lower than it should be for a country of the US's economic standing, to the point that being able to write a batch file or bash script puts you miles above the average person. It's sad.

Hats off to all the other countries that are properly prioritizing computer science and programming. You're headed in a good direction.
