Wich server build do i need to make my "own Azeroth" and where can i get the stuff to install a server?

First of all, have you read all the pages about other people making mega-builds, cuz it's gonna take a god damn long time.

Second, there are many ways to create a server, first you must choose what core you want to use, I would suggest 'Trinity Core' or 'Arc Emu', though I'm not an expert that is what I believe good, and also what I have seen people on this forum write about (some prefer 'Trinity Core' some 'Arc Emu').

I have also thought about making something like this, though I don't think I would finish it if I began.
Also I'm running vista and that have proven a bit problematic until I found out about the compatibility mode.

If you need any advise, I'd like you help you if I can.

I use arcemu. The first step to get into modding IS to setup a testserver. How will you test your mids else :)

also you can run a precompiled for testing but try compile it for yourself. Its not to hard.

First of all i want to make a litte isle or something like that to improve my worldbuilding skills.
For that i need a server. I think i'll use arcemu (i have some experience with that core).
Now i have to now wich patch version it must have.


Ps: Excuse me for my bad english, i don't think that it is realy good (I am from Germany :D )
