[TOOL] Ground doodads fixing (detail doodads, clutter)
<< < (7/11) > >>
larrylaffer:
People, i am having the same issue of Wow Crash after using this tool.
The tool works fine the first time, but after i edit the map with noggit, the ADT crash in game with this error:
--- Quote ---This application has encountered a critical error:
ERROR #132 (0x85100084) Fatal Exception Program: D:World of WarcraftWoF.exe Exception: 0xC0000005 (ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 001B:007B31F8
The instruction at "0x007B31F8" referenced memory at "0x00000010". The memory could not be "read".
--- End quote ---
This was the things i tried each time: -Save the map with noggit SDL 1.2: crash in game -Save the map with noggit 104 and then with taliis: crash in game -Save with noggit and erase all the ground effects with the tool: crash in game -Save with noggit and erase the ground effects with taliis: crash in game -Erase the ground effects with the tool, and then save with noggit: crash in game -Use the ground fix in the atempt before: still crash -Open the map with hex: i dont understand the structure, plus i dont have a previous version of the ADT before using ground effects to compare...
I dont have a backup version of the adts... so please, if someone knows how to bypass the error, please let me know, otherwise i just screwed the map...
Regards.
Steff:
Did you delete water before you used the tool? Greechins water and the fix dont work together.
schlumpf:
Instead of randomly deleting water, prefer this: viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2971
Steff:
Noggit 1.3 will write water clean but till then jsut save adt once before you use the fix tool. We also will try to get groundeffects data also fixed again before release.
