Can I play my patches also if the server doesnt have them?

I being a complete noob, and just learning to mod maps from your totorial, have a few questions i will need answered.
1) Can maps you make come out in patches like designer island in a way you dont need your own privet server to use them. Like i im on a GM server and have my map can i just go to it and not crash ? or do i need a server with it loaded on for every one?
Also do you guys have a server with cool custom places ?
Can i check it out ?

Being a noob doesn't make you stupid right? You could have read the rules ( faq.php ) and discovered that "question" is one of the dumbest topic tiles one can choose (Rule 1.3). Please change it or I will delete this thread.

Depends...if the designers island is a new instance then the server will have to have the entry for that instance. But as far as i know when it comes to designers island , the dbc entry for that instance still should be there. Only the adts(terrain files) are misssing.

Blizzard Removed the Designers island ADTs in patch 2.3.3

Could you do that because i can't figure out how to delete it my self.
