Jack:
This being the second time you responded with unrational and offensive messages I will ban you from this community for 1 week, maybe that'll make you rethink about your behavior next time.
Anyway, to clarify things here a little:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heightmap
What you guys are talking about is actually a sort of heightmap, in case you're talking about the texture layers that can be exported and imported in worldbuilding.
We should get back to the topic now though.
SirFranc:
I would really like to know the painting technique used for this land, more i look at it and more it reminds me of arathi highlands/emerald dream textures...
Because i really want to do something like that...

When I was on lecture in school, I made some screenshots for you, how I paint mountains.
It isn't everytime same procedure, but in principle is it like on schreenshots.
[spoiler:1wldpbzb][center:1wldpbzb]First. I made some hill...
next I paind places with stone texture, but with little permeation...
I prepare some smaller hills...
I use dirt with small radius to make stone places irregular and stone texture with no permeation to the center...
Last step is grass texture in small radius between stone places...
And this is the result...
A little exhaustive i know :)[/center:1wldpbzb][/spoiler:1wldpbzb]
I hope so it will be helpful :)
Jack:
