Heya.
I've browsed some of the other help threads, so I'll try and include the typically requested stuff in one go for the sake of brevity. Due to the spam filter I'll throw the log and config bit in an attachment.
When trying to launch a white window will flash up for a brief moment before closing right after. I'm running Windows 7. Though this is just guesswork I did find something about read only status on the WoW installation causing errors, but I haven't been able to get that box unchecked (it just keeps reverting back).
Any assistance on getting this working would be really appreciated.

Check "read only" checkbox on your mpqs (client). Right mouse click - Properties - Read only. It must be unchecked! :)
-
Hrm!
Went through and checked all of the MPQs in both Data and enUS, and they all show as unchecked for read-only. It seems only the folders themselves show that (though they have a blue square rather than an actual check). So nothing to change there, from what I can tell.
-
First not the mpq. The read only need to get checked on the main wow folder. It will update all including files inside the folder then.
Next check. Did you copy the content of an 335a clientinto the client335anoggit folder. So you must have the wow exe direct in this folder. Some people make the mistake to copy theire full folder including the dir to this location.
so this is right
Wowmodding/client335anoggit/wow.exe
This is wrong
Wowmodding/client335anoggit/worldofwarcraft/wow.exe
-
Path is correct; Wowmodding/client335anoggit/wow.exe
As for the read only bit, I can't seem to get that to fully work. I did apply that to the entire folder, but once I check preferences again the box is still filled by a blue square. Not a check mark, to note, as I understand the blue filling means something else. I'm not sure if that's having an effect or not, but I can't seem to make the box stay blank.

Request sent! I'm imagining that time zones might cause some delay, but hey. Can probably catch one of you at some point.

Belated note! Steff was able to get it working with teamviewer. I've marked the thread to [Solved]. Thanks for the help!
