[SHOWOFF] Tides of Azeroth RP
(1/4) > >>
Laduguer:
Hey guys!
So, whilst my other project is on hiatus, i've been working on another project. It's early days but I thought i'd share what i've made so far.
The basic premise of the project (which is also being ran as a roleplaying server, if interested please check here: http://toa.coe-roleplay.com/index.php) is exploring the seas and islands of Azeroth. There are a lot of locations under that umbrella so expect this thread to be updated continually with different builds.
Naturally all the screenshots below are WIP and likely missing ingame-spawned clutter unless stated otherwise.
Anyway:
Balor Isle:
This will be the primary starting location for Alliance characters. A prime strategic position for exploring the Great Seas, characters living here will become well accustomed to the high seas. However, the presence of an old Stormreaver ruin from the time of Balor's occupation by the Horde in the Second War brings trouble closer to home.

Hiji:
Hiji will be the primary starting location for Horde characters, a territory aquired in the last few years by the Darkspear Tribe. Here they'll have to contend with the remnants of it's former Bloodscalp and Skullsplitter occupants whilst investigating the mysteries of the ancient Gurubashi temple that dominates the north island.

Cool :P You should change the lightning on Hiji tho so the green-ish buildings blends better with the rest.

Yeah, it's still a bit of a WIP. Gonna change the texture on that tall pyramid too.

Very nice, keep up the good work.

Balor Isle - thats some cool stuff, however, I can't see any ground effects/bushes. Screenshots are taken quite from distance, so its possible they just aren't loaded, but if you really didn't use them, I would. I also would try to not use just 1 sand texture everywhere, especially around that 1 tower standing a litte bit further from the rest of buildings.
Hiji - I haven't seen many locations with model-made rocks and mountains in WoW, so I love the fact that you tryed to make them itself. I would play a little bit with textures under rocky M2s, somewhere there are huge blocks of these stones and under them just nonshaded and nonsprayed texture. I would also try to make roads look less flat and I would also edit boarders between roads and grass. You are good with spray effects, they would suit there - use them even between roads and grass. And again, where are ground effects and/or bushes? I miss something under these trees. However, these things are just details, its very nice location overall. Good job.
Overall - I just wanted to name all flaws I found, but I really like these 2 Isles overall. I am looking forward to see what will be next, this is really good.
