Title: [MaNGOS 3.3.5a] Custom Zones Flyable?
Post by: lyonar on March 11, 2013, 08:49:38 pm
Yeah, so I've been spending the last few days or so digging around in the .dbc files and I cannot find any way to make zones flyable. Whenever I try and mount up in them I get the message "You are in the wrong zone."

But here's the catch, I've copied everything in the maps.dbc and areatable.dbc for my custom continent/wdt from a Northrend entry meaning effectively flying should be in place and I also can teleport into the zone while mounted and remain mounted (unlike if I were to tele to Azeroth).

Any help is much appreciated, even something that won't help entirely might get me a little closer to figuring it out. Maybe those working on Maarum could offer some advice?

Thanks a lot, Lala

EDIT: I've seen guides using the Trinity Server? Is that recommended over MaNGOS for worldbuilds/modding or is it really just preference?

I don't know Mangos about this topic, but I know that on Trinity, the changes on areatable would be enough.

I personally prefer Trinity to mod, but other alternatives may or may not be "easier".
