M2i export problem

when i get the m2i file into blender..and i modify it...and export it as m2i...and i try to reimport the modify m2i file back to blender..than the changes that i made are not there for some unkown reasonX_X anyone knows why? whats happening? and how to fix it?

you may had errors during exporting m2i. check your blender log-window

Do the edits keep if you save the files as a .blend instead of exporting it?  Have you also tried taking the unedited m2 importing it and them immediately exporting it, may be there is something unusual about the m2 itself.  I know that the banshee.m2 does not export correctly regardless of whether you edit it or not.
