Hello Modcraftiers!
My problem is a little bit freaky. I want to start a new Map, check them with ADT-Adder and wanna fix them with the mini-Tool "Off-Set-Fix(.exe)"
So on... that cracked my computer a bit (Destroy a profilregistry at -> HKLMSoftwareMicrosoftWindows NTCurrent VersionProfileList) so i have a long time only a freaky-shit temporary profile -.- (but this is solved, no matter yet but that you have to know)
I open the taskmanager and holy moly... over 2.900+ times open!
and if you want, a other pic: http://fs5.directupload.net/images/151213/yj56o7zd.jpg (http://fs5.directupload.net/images/151213/yj56o7zd.jpg" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
I have also a little phone-video about to try kill the task if you want *gg*
So my computer gonna weird. No tasks are closeable. to shut down the PC are also impossible and out of the question only push the power button... i've try to close it with a taskkill (cmd) and this also dont work...
Blablabla... my two questsions:
What runs wrong? Ive download the modding-zip new and try it again (same problem)
What i can do now to clip the adts?
Cheers,
Basto

During the last 3 days the similar issue has been reported for ADTAdder and Cryect tools. I think it may be related to some of the recent Windows updates. Microsoft seem to have sucked again.
-
Yep its probably the windows update. The one where they changed the starting menue...
Im ortty shure the menue is not the issue. But something diffrent. My laptop has not updated yet and there its still working.
If you still need the Adts send me a Template and the cordinates u need an Ill upload them for ya.

RIP in Win7 i personaly would never recommend higher Win for WoWmodding since all possible tools we use are homie programing and Micrusuft is in these days creating systems that controls you not you them so RIP in OS with so many lame protections and crapy improvements just to literally cock block all sandboxers

So much hate. But not very helpful. No offence but last thing we need atm is random hate spiled into topics...

I develop and work on win 8.1 at home and on 10 at work.
No problems till now. But i did not use cmd or adtadder on 10 till now :)

This problem indeed comes with the new Windows 10 update (KB3116908). I don't know what it does but I'd love to hear any suggestions how to fix the issue except for removing the update. My laptop updated itself this morning and the problem with __most__ modding CMD-based software and some of my 010 Editor scripts (those I run from CMD) are now not working. It seems they broke something down in CMD, so it opens endless amounts of the same process without actually starting it. So, your pc becomes frozen and gives you BSOD in a while. Good job, Microsoft.
P.S. This update makes WoD modding impossible because PhilipTNG's converter won't work on that.

Its marked Solved. So did you acually solve it? And if yes how?
-
I am also wondering about that.
-
I hope who figure how to solved it he share it to the community

Not me. It was actually Cromon and another guy without nickname in Modcraft chat. I was just the one who started bitching about the thing and made the solution post on MCNet. The issue is cygwin1.dll related. Download the newer version of it.

Amen. And not just for modding but anything else, too. Win10 is evil like no other. Stay with Win7 people which, anyway, also needs many tweaks to be safe to use but at least you can do it. In case of Win10 you can't do jack.

Stop saying shit. If you dislike Windows 10 or can't use it, it does not mean it is not possible to do things there. This is a cygwin issue. And the cause of this issue is that cygwin used the function they were not supposed to use. One of windows updates turned off the support for it.
-
I also cant share your point. use windows 10 nearly a year now. And I develop the tools on it...
-
I'm sorry about necromancing that post:
That will be solved the problem:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/cygwin1-dll/?source=typ_redirect
Put all twice .dll's at the .adt Addder folder and it will be work again!
Greets,
Basto
(For other ppl who have this prob)

The problem here is not the adder itself. The offsetfix used cygwin.dll and adder just call it once for every adt after copy it. I will have a look t release an updated version of the adder that also can handle wod adts soon.
