Title: [SOLVED] [BUG] Flying into certain ADTs crashes noggit
Post by: Bueza on November 17, 2014, 08:07:29 am
When editing in noggit, on a fresh edit[meaning it's not loading any project files], and with a wrath client that has no custom patches, I crash when I fly over this one specific ADT. I'm not sure why this is happening. I searched for this issue and came across a forum thread user with the exact same issue, someone helped him solve it, but he didn't say how. So I'm at a loss here.

I have also tried editing the ADT with textures among a couple other methods, saved it, gone in-game and have no issues, no crashing etc. Noggit is the only thing that crashes when I enter the ADT. Thank you for taking the time to read this!

We have absolutely no chance to help you until you post at least a crash log from WoW.

This seems to be common acces rights/wrong path problem causing noggit crash on startup, but that cannot have anything to do with crashing only on certain ADT when noggit is already running.

If you use some custom/postWotLK models, they can cause crash too, but more often they crash only ingame and work in noggit correctly, but if I take you right, you didn't edit that ADT yet and it crashes with blizzlike content. If so, I have only 1 not very nice solution, you can try to export ADT's listfile of used models and try to spawn them one by one on some empty ADT where you don't have any crashes. You can possibly find out which model is causing crashes and then delete it from ADT's structure itself. I never did such thing, so I'm afraid I can't help you any further.

Have you tried going on the ADT with WMO, M2s and WMO doodads disabled?

In the logfile it is obviously that noggit could not even be opened. Are you sure you have posted the right log to the crash of noggit?
As Amaroth mentioned in the logfile you can see that no MPQ could be opened and therefor no dbc could be loaded. That problem is most likely wrong or missing access rights to the wowfolder (in your case C:Wotlk)

/F35WgNgj < is the correct log file this time[for pastbin], I think it didn't update because I opened noggit in the ADT that crashes it and it immediately crashed, this time I went next to it and flew in it like I normally would. Also the ADT has only one texture, and no m2s or WMOs. And there are ADTs like that right next to it that do not crash noggit, just this one ADT.. /QiPGu8C < is the link to the imgur[p a s t e bin. c o m/F35WgNgj        im gur. c o m/QiPGu8C]

Start noggit
Disable wmos and fly there
If it then dont crash it is an existing wmo.

1.2 can not render some wmos clean.
For example one in the start village of the tauren also crash.
This is already fixed in 1.3 so you need to wait for 1.4

I tried disabling everything except the terrain for the ADT and I still crash when entering it.
