Noggit / Re: Noggit shuts down immediately when it has opened.

Yes I did, but i do not see what it does, or is supposed to do. I see it running over every single ADT file executing a program, but what does that porgram do? If it is supposed to create a new ADT file then nothing happens.

Noggit / Re: Noggit shuts down immediately when it has opened.

After trying some more and a few days AFK I finally managed to get Noggit working, but another problem comes up. When I have made a new continent as explained in Eluos guide and put the ADT, WDT and DBC files in my WoW folder to load in in Noggit the custom continent does not show up in Noggit.

At this point noggit won't show up your new instance because you will have to put the Files also in the wow folder and not in the patch beacuse noggit sets the priority of the dbc files to those who are extraced into your wow folder.
So just take the dbc,the adts and the wdt files and put them in to the wow folder like this:
For adts:
wowfolderworldmapsyourawsomeinstancename
For the dbc:
wowfolderDBFilesclient
This is where I get stuck. I have created the folder treepath for the ADTs and the WDT and copied the folder which contains the edited DBC (when extracted with Ladik's MPQ Editor the folder is also called DBFilesclient) to the root of the WoW installation path, so that it looks like E:/Program Files/3.3.5 Private Server/DBFilesclient and E:/Program Files/3.3.5 Private Server/world/maps. Doing this still does not make the map show up in Noggit. If someone can help with this problem that would be really appreciated.

Ofcourse.
The log file.
The config file.
There they are. I hope you can figure out what causes the error is.

I have already added the extension -c to the shortcut and I run Noggit in Both Windows XP SP3 compatability mode and with administrator rights.

Yes I did. :) That is why i posted here. I've tried everything in the FAQ already and searched a bit through the other help request topics, but couldn't find anything like this problem.

Noggit / Noggit shuts down immediately when it has opened.
« on: February 26, 2011, 03:17:14 am »
I recently downloaded Noggit rev. 104 to try out some things i had in mind for some time.
When I try to run noggit after making the right changes to every file needed (InstallPath in the registry and the Noggit config file) it closes immediately when it has opened.
I am trying to use Noggit for WoW 3.3.5a on Windows 7 Ultimate x86.
Code: [Select]
.wowmapview.cpp:154 > Nogg-It $Rev: 104 $
.wowmapview.cpp:264 > Game path: E:Program Files3.3.5 Private ServerData
.wowmapview.cpp:266 > Project path: E:WoW Edits
.wowmapview.cpp:310 > Could not find locale directory. Be sure, that there is one containing the file "realmlist.wtf".
note that there is NO backslash '' after Server and in both the InstallPath and the config file Noggit gets directed to E:Program Files3.3.5 Private Server and not E:Program Files3.3.5 Private ServerData

This error in the game path also explains .wowmapview.cpp:310 > Could not find locale directory. Be sure, that there is one containing the file "realmlist.wtf". so I probably wont need help with that after the first problem is solved.
I have already added the extension -c to the shortcut and I run Noggit in Both Windows XP SP3 compatability mode and with administrator rights.

Some help with this would be appreciated.
