Title: WMO bug in rev 279
Post by: noblow91 on December 22, 2011, 08:45:12 pm
I am able to import models just fine from both the model viewer and text file, but when I save my map, my WMOs do not save with it. The M2 models save, for some reason, just not WMO. I have looked at the saved adt in taliis, and the WMOs dont show up in there either. I still need to create a ticket for the bug tracker, but if anybody else has a suggestion on here, I'd love to hear it.

What WMO did you try to add?

Sometimes, there may be a problem with saving objects located on two ADT files simultaneously. Just check if this is the case (turn on the lines)

That may be the problem. I'm trying to modify Kalimdor_30_50.adt, but taliis shows a couple hive pieces from 30_49, i think.

Be sure to save _all_ ADTs the WMO is on. Do NOT rely on the detection of which ADTs got changed.

i went through and made sure there were no other objects on the adt. i double checked in taliis. i am still completely unable to save wmo objects. i dont understand how the m2 models are able to save but the wmo objects wont. does noggit save them differently? everything else saves fine. heightmap, textures and models. just not objects. its getting a little frustrating.

As said: make sure to save all WMOs. You may want to toggle line drawing to on, so you can see where the ADTs end. It is the most likely that you save only the ADT, the center of the WMO is on or the wrong one or something like that. Saving WMOs normally works.

i may be missing something, but is there something specific i have to do to save wmos? i thought i just had to import them. im definitely on the right adt. i'll turn the lines on, but im not entirely sure what thats going to do to help. im fairly certain that im trying to place the object dead center in the adt.

That's not supposed to help but merely, the only idea I have, why it might go wrong.

I am having the same problem. I try to import a path of a WMO and it doesn't save. I do Save all. All .m2s and everything else save fine.

*shrug*

What WMO are you trying to use? And are you using the Save All ADT command?

I have tried multiple wmo adding through text import..note that im on a Mac so no MV. I TRIED SCARLET MONASTERY, mage tower, town hall, alliance shrine, nothing saves... I dint know what this adt command is that you speak of... I do ctrl + s. And I save current too....

Wmos disappear after I exit and enter again, map changes and .m2 save fine.
