Problem with unsolid doodads
« on: August 01, 2010, 03:26:00 am »
Hello, me again with another problem...

I am making a map in noggit 3, and as if i dind't got not enough problems with the water (wich i am solving by redisigning the shore), i have another strange problem:

Some doodads that i put  here and there, are not completely solid. For example, i put a couple wodden stairs, and when i tray to climb them, half of the stair is unsolid (i pass trhough it). The funny thing is that the other part of the ladder is solid, and while one stair is unsolid in the bottom half, the other one it is in the upper half. Also, i have another stair in other part of the map and that stair is completely solid. So is not a problem of the object itself.

I moved the unsolid stairs to another part of the map, and they becom solid. Strange thing. The stairs of course are just an example, i have this problem with others object of the map like trees, rocks,  etc etc.

I already tried to open and save the map with taliis (actually i need to do always  this cuz noggit 3 doenst save the doodads...), but this doenst help (unless of course i am using a bad version of taliis). I also tried to change the objects ids, but this also dindt do anything.

So, i need a way to fix the damn doodads. Hope that someone can help me with this issue.

Regards.

Did you excessively overscale them?

Nope i dindt, i used the normal scale in most doodads (1024). In fact i tried to make this doodads a bit smaller in order to fix the problem, but it dindt worked.

After further analysys, tt seems that the problem is when i save the map with Taliis in order to show the doodads that are not saved in Noggit 3.

I realized this after i saved the map in and very older version of noggit 3, wich it doenst show all the doodads, but the fews that it showed worked fine and completly solid. I saved this map with taliis (cuz as i said it dindt showed all the doodads), and that showed all the doodas but with the same problem of solidivity.

So, i need either a good version of taliis or noggit that saves all the doodads without error (or any other program that can read adts and save doodads).

I am currently using Noggit 3 rev. 104 and the last version of taliis that is uploaded in their official blog.

Regards.

What? I am asking too much? XDDD

I just need a program that can open an adt file and save it again without f***up anything.

I'm having exact the same problem that Larryaffer described. It seems to be a Taliis-Bug =/

hm oh yes and i need now an fix for this problem if there is anyone cause my new kontinent will be bad if the most m2 are just with half collision x_X thats weird worked all days on new stairs and ingame oh cool jumping trough stone bahh ... -.-

pls help there must be an answer to this  ? o.o

working at time with

Taliis -> get new objekts to the adts
Noggit 3 Rev: 104 -> set objekts to place and save
Taliis -> open adt and save it that the m2's are spawning in game
Ingame -> Could walk trough parts of the m2's ...  so a wall could be passed on one end but not on the other end... a stair could be passed at top but not at bottom..  walking trough wells fountains and so on.
*sigh* all wmo's are working still perfekt.

Now after moddeling the whole island and texturing it this bad hmm "shit" happens ..

some ideas / fixes ? o.o
