Title: [Question] Watertransition
Post by: Vatoto on August 25, 2014, 07:16:25 pm
Hey!

At first, my Englisch is not the yellow from the egg and i hope this is the right category.

It is possible to make a water transition (hope this is the right word) like this
https://nufla.de/2A1LY.jpeg (https://nufla.de/2A1LY.jpeg)

If this is possible, how can I create this transition?

Thanks for the help,
Vatoto

Current versions of allwater/allocean should do this. Maybe even the one integrated in noggit, but I have no idea about that one. If you are not looking for tools but are capable of doing your own, see http://pxr.dk/wowdev/wiki/index.php?title=ADT/v18#Data (http://pxr.dk/wowdev/wiki/index.php?title=ADT/v18#Data" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) at transparency[].

I think you're talking about the "Opacity" in Allwater.
The problem is the following, Blizzard has somehow managed to unite it more Opacitywerte in a chunk, (see picture (https://nufla.de/oXa90.png), the Red marked is a chunk: D)
And I wanted to know it's possible to do this?

My version of allocean should do that. Possibly your version of it has a fix opacity for everything. No, I do not have a link for my version. Maybe somewhere in tools.

In the end yes. There are different versions which have different names.

good Morning

I have searched around a bit on Modcraft, but unfortunately found no working download link = / So I ask the group, has anyone got a working download link for "Allocean". Another question, I also need "fixallocean"?

I slowly also believe that I use my current Allwater just wrong = /

Noggir 1.3 can handle water opercity and there is also an option that calculates this depending on the depth.  Like blizzard do it.

Hmm, I use Noggit 1.2, but I will try it with Noggit 1.3.

Can anyone explain how to add water just anybody please? Or if I need to use certain settings to allow the water to automatically adjust the depth.

One more question, if I add water, which is in a harbor area, I have to take the type "water", or "ocean"?

Water and Ocean have different "waves" on their textures and different sounds, but there difference between them ends.

There is no tool to create water exactly as Blizzzard does. Yes, SDL 1.3 has Auto Opacity funkcion, but its far from the one which is used by Blizzard. Don't expect miracles.

Also shaders are different and colors are different.
