Title: [QUESTION] Change texture on WMO format
Post by: Iago on January 20, 2012, 10:10:37 pm
Hi all, i've a problem when I try to change a texture file on a WMO.
The problem is when i import the .wmo file on Nogg-it or try to spawn a gameobject with maked custom display.
The lines i've edited are:

I save the new .wmo and put it on custom patch and.. when import.. noggit closes.
(I've new texture [JLO_NEX_FLOOR03A.BLP] on the patch too.)
I'll agree help :)

i cant see that really well on phone, but you've added a character right ? if that's the case, its a bad idea :)  you can replace existing characters in the texture name, but not use a longer/shorter name.

You've reason, i change the number without more characters and it works:

(It's only a test, i'm better designer than this.. xD)

It would be nice if you could write a tutorial in the wiki for this. If you have some minutes.
Reskinning WMOs.

Doesn't viewtopic.php?f=26&t=224 (http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=26&t=224" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) cover that already?

If this work also on wmo then yes :)

And Keta you will always have beginners without any wisdom. So if there are text's about every thing it is easier for them to get started and faster ahead. That is the goal of a community like this. Get them start faster without explaining stuff 20 times and help with real problems.

My tutorial should cover everything as i intentionally named this tutorial "Custom Model Treepath" without specifying what model.
Also i lost a few words about wmo and m2 at the bottom of the tutorial.

Why am i saying all the time object and not m2 or doodad?
Because you can use the exact! progress on any object of wow. You can even create your custom wmos with that!
It always works the same way.
