[Solved]Hair makes player face green.
« on: November 08, 2014, 06:30:44 pm »
So I am using Rangorn's patch and I've managed to almost fix everything that was wrong with it.

This is what I managed to fix

*Bladestorm Animation
*Forsaken Textures
*Missing feets on Tauren and Orc Warrior.
*Corrected textures paths.
*Corrected Draenei Females hair which made her bald
*Corrected DK Gilnean model with the right textures (Was missing DK textures)

And some other things as well which I can't remember as of now.
Anyways this improved the patch and his patch is almost 100% complete, to make it complete I need to solve 2 problems. One which isn't that big of a problem and the second which is a big deal..

So if you use Rangorns patch and choose a dwarf with hairstyle 8 then change the Hair color to 1, this happens.

I've literally been trying to fix this for 3 days now but I have 0 clue as to how to fix this. More stuff break if I touch it. It's the hair color breaking the face.... Hair color works perfectly if you switch Hair style to something else but when you go to 8 it breaks it there.

Anyone know how to fix this? Would love some help.

Maybe an error in charsections or a missing texture

I've checked and everything is intact. The problem is extremely weird, I even tried to put in a dbc with broken paths but it still finds the textures somehow Lol? Can't seem to change it.

Edit: I just found something, awkward..... it seems like I had a test patch I made and forgot to remove the mpq lol. it was actually overiding my changes. removed it, imma go back and experiment with this for a while now, hopefully I get a better understanding how this works. Problem still exist but I'll probably find the cause of it easier now.

This is actually my first time working with a patch ever :D im a noob so yea... still learning >.<

Got this thing when working with Human Female to port them in cata
The issue is in the CharSections.DBC  look for UpperScalp and LowerScalp textures and delete these fields.
