Hi there! This is my first time asking for help here and i don't even know if im posting this in the right place...
Well... I have been working in a zone with noggit and everything runs smoothly. I have made some other maps and never have any kind of problems. But recently, i have been working in a new zone and when i add the ADT to a patch and tested it in my server my fps goes down. Normally i have around 60 fps but with this last patch it goes down till 3-4 fps.
I don't know what is causing this... I thought it could be the number of wmos the ADTs has but i've made maps with even more and nothing seem to be wrong. Moreover, while i go into the building my fps rate becomes normal again. There are also some parts of it where my fps are normal, but since i set a foot in some concrete areas of the adts everything goes so slow again.
What could be causing this? Ground Effects? Wmos?
Thank you for your help. Bye!

I think I remember somebody telling me these was a bug for a while that duplicated map objects into the thousands.
Maybe that's your issue. What Noggit version are you using?
-
i'm using SDL1.3. is that a problem?
-
Hm, no I don't think that version has the bug. I can ask again when I get the chance.
At least I could bump your thread for you (:

Thank you!

I remember helping one guy with the same issue. For him the solution was pretty simple. He had two folders in MPQ which were called azeroth and Azeroth. He had a really terrible FPS in Noggit and even in the game. So, check out your folder structure.

i'va already done it and it's seems fine... but thank you anyways!
-
No problem :)

Well, i don't know how but i did the whole adts again and it works. This time i used SLD 1.2, instead of 1.3 and now everything seems to be going fine.
I mark this as solved and thanks to everyone who tried to help me!

That's not strange at all. I'm using Noggit CI 81 from ci.hanfer.org instead of Noggit 1.3 It's not that buggy and pretty stable. ;)

Yeah I asked my friend and he says it's the 1.3 version causing the object duplication bug. You can still use the CI version which is basically the same thing without the bug. But apparently it's less stable? Idk. Noggit SDL 1.2 is just so old now xD

Hello,
I working in 1.2 and I always choose "save all" method and I never had a problems with duplicated objects. I used onetime 1.3 and use "save" (save all missing in this version) and now I have many dupicated objects.
So I preffer 1.2 and method saving all adt, and never mixed some adts in maps folder.

Ah guys, nope, you are all completely wrong I think. I met this bug in SDL 1.1, 1.2 and 1.3 as well, but never was able to reproduce that. It might be very hard to find where exactly, but you hove somewhere bugged WMO object. It might be spawned somewhere alone or even be there as a duplication of some WMO. What is "bugged" on that specific object? Its invisible, in both noggit and ingame. However, in noggit it doesn't do anything with FPS, ingame 1-2 such objects are enough to drop FPS to 3-4, as you are exactly telling.
So, check very, very carefuly the whole location where you are getting FPS drops with F8 option turned on in noggit and try to find out if there is not any invisible WMO object. It might stand alone somewhere or be inside another WMO as duplication - both of it is possible. 3-4 FPS means that its quite possible that you have more than 1 such object. Sadly, I have no idea why and when this ever happened to me, so I didn't even make a bugtracker entry for this.
