Hello,
I've been working on two tutorials I found here:
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=255 (http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=255" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
viewtopic.php?f=22&t=26 (http://modcraft.io/viewtopic.php?f=22&t=26" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
I downloaded the tools linked in the tutorials and I did exactly as toled in the tutorials. My first problem is that Taliis gives me a lot of errors when I'm saving a .adt file i created in Taliis, but it still saved a .adt file and I continued with the next steps, the last step is creating folders in the WoW folder named the same as in the .MPQ file and put the .adt files and Maps.dbc in there so that Noggit can load them. When I start Noggit now it nothing changed, so i created a patch-deDE-4.MPQ file with the same structure and put it in the */Data/deDE/ folder. If I'm starting Noggit now it turns white and closes.
That's the Noggit error, found in the log.txt file:
2122 - (errorHandling.h:64): [Error] There was an exception of type "SIGABRT"
"Abnormal termination, such as instigated by the abort function. (Abort.)".
Please excuse the inconvenience. You may want to report this error including the log to the developers.
I'm using Noggit 3 and WoW 3.3.5a.
System is Win7
Sorry for my bad english, I hope someone can help me out ;P

Thanks for the fast answer.
Well if I got that right, there's a problem with the termination, but i don't know what i did wrong.

Ok, problem solved, just renamed the noggit.conf to noggit_template.conf and it worked, it loaded my adts and i can edit the world.
But I still don't understand why it solved the problem.

Also, the config file most likely was corrupt.
