Title: [QUESTION] Accidentally moved an entire ADT, how to fix??
Post by: Lillefar on April 24, 2013, 11:57:32 pm
Hi I accidentally clicked the "move to position" button in the Assist menu, and the whole ADT was just moved down!! Please tell me there is someway to automatically move it to a specific z coord somehow because I've tried to move it back with the "move to position" button but it's totally impossible to get it exactly :(

I didn't save the map so if I close it I will have to redo it all again, which took me half day :(

remove the spaces between the dots and the slash, can't post links yet

Edit: OMFG, now I accidentally cleared the textures of the same ADT.... WHYY is there no redo function in noggit??? :@@@

There is no way to restore the textures. Also, there is no easy way to move it back up, except for using that method again.

For the position just try to move it closley to the other adts and then use the flatten/blur tool.

The texture is lost i think :/

Always save your work. We've all learned it the hard way at some point. Sorry you lost so much progress.

I save every 20 minutes and reopen noggit then. Not save for houres is no good idea. And Not only with noggit :)

Also if noone use this I think I should turn it off for 1.3 ???
It also dont move the models so its useless.

Hmm ok :( Well can you try and add a undo/redo function for 1.3 atleast, if it's possible? :P

No :) To hard because a ton of classes change and its not so easy. And If then not in SDL but in QT where I also do some reading to get again into the code.

While in many cases this feature is completely useless, it can become very useful when someone wants to change the elevation of a newly-created mountain or create a template ADT at a given height. I don't think anyone would miss it if you removed it but it does have some special-case uses.

The only feature I think needs to be removed is the All From MV assist feature. It's a complete mess.

Looking forward to this 1.3 though. I didn't know you were continuing development. :)
