"Retro-Porting" / Paid Work: Nightborne in WOTLK
« on: February 22, 2018, 12:49:15 am »
Hey Everyone,

For the past 3-4 days i have done all the necessary core, dbc, and interface edits in order to add a the Nightborne race into my server. The last thing i needed to do was actually convert the Nightborne model to WOTLK. Normally, this would be pretty easy since Adspartan's model converter has never errored on me before or not worked.

In patch 7.3.5 when they released the Nightborne race blizzard changed the way race files are stored and handled. As far as i'm aware things like bone structure, animations and so on are not kept in .skel files and Adspartan's converter does not work on models with .skel files. Since my knowledge regarding anything model related is very minimal and seeing that there is not a lot of information on community sites that talk about how to get .skel files working for patch 3.3.5 I was hoping i can commission someone to get the already existing model working in WOTLK for me.

I don't know much about model editing or the work it requires but i'm willing to offer 30-50 USD for anyone who is able make the Nightborne race work in 3.3.5. If you are interested please send me a message or add me on discord (Peacy#7989) so we can further discuses pricing and model related stuff.

Thanks so much, Raci!

You're right I guess this is more of a  WMO error and less of a noggit error. However, thanks for the constructive help on how to solve this issue!

I converted some WMOS, however, when I zone in game I crash. I double checked to ensure they were converted correctly and that they had all the m2s attached to them. I'm even able to see the WMO when I open it in wowmodelviewer. An odd thing about the crash is that it occurs if I get really close to the wmo or if I hover my mouse over it (regardless of distance). Does anyone happen to know what is going on and what I can do to fix this problem? Thanks!

All stats are based on item level (item level, not required level for equipping!) and quality. I suggest you to simply compare items you want to remake with items on desired item level.

Sadly, there's no script for doing that I am aware of. I could write one, its on my todo list, but I don't have time for that and won't have time for that for some time.

What do you mean? I could make some 4328403482934 Item Level and level 1, stats are handled in the database, right? I don't think the stat value on a item will go up or down depending on item level automatically.

Hey Modcraft,

I'm looking for a item scaler of some sort, I want to take a whole bunch of level 70 items and lower them to level 50, is there a way a I can do this? A program to tell me what stats i need to change the gear to or an equation I can use? I'm sure a lot of people have been looking for something like this as well so a response would be great!

Thanks!

Serverside Modding / [TrinityCore] Quest Items
« on: February 09, 2016, 12:55:22 am »
Hey Modcraft,

I'm trying to make a quest item drop from a mob. I added the entry in creature_loot_template and I added it to creature_quest_item. When I kill the mob the item drops but if I classify the item as a quest item it doesn't drop.

Any Ideas?

Thanks!

I did this already, with no results. I tried copying the data from other kill achieves, once again no results. Any other ideas?

Hey Modcraft,

I recently switched to TrinityCore and I'm trying to figue out how to make a custom achivement work. I have made 10000000 on Arcemu in the past so I know how to do the dpc edits and the patching, however, whenever I edit the dbc files while following the trinity achivement.dbc and achivementcriteria.dbc nothing happens. In this case I'm trying to get an achivement to be awarded to a player on killing mob 40 but it doesn't work. Am I missing something that trinity requires outside of those dpc edits?

Here is my achivement.dbc

and My archivementcriteria.dbc

for the achivement i'm trying to create.

Thanks!

Level Design / Noggit Help
« on: September 07, 2015, 05:12:28 am »
Hey everyone, I just started using noggit today and encountered a problem that i'm hoping someone can solve! I edited my map and it looks amazing ;) (Thanks noggit developers!) but when i log into game my client will randomly crash depending as i run around the zone.

I found a post about this here, viewtopic.php?f=48&t=9222 but it didn't really help me that much because I don't have this script that the guy is running.

Any thoughts? Anyone else getting this issue?
