Title: WMOs not saving
Post by: noblow91 on December 19, 2011, 11:31:33 pm
I am using noggit 3 rev 120. I am able to import WMOs and M2s just fine into noggit, but when I save the map, the only things that get saved are the M2s. I cant figure out how to get the WMOs to save with the map as well. The log file isnt showing anything unusual. The M2s show up just fine in game, but once I close noggit, the WMOs that I imported cease to exist. I've been trying to figure this out for about a day now, but so far, I've just been adding the M2s that I can use while I try to figure out how to get the WMOs to load. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Do I need to specify a project folder as well or can I leave it saving to my wow folder?

Thank you for the info and for the acceptance to the beta tester group. I appreciate it. I'm having the same problem with rev 279 too, but I can still use taliis. :)

Please explain your bug in the Beta group and creat a ticket in teh bugtraker.
The model import works just fine, so we have to see why not for you.

I am having the same problem... but it just started recently. rev 279, it was all in german, and working fine... then suddently my menus were in english again.. and wmo's stopped saving. I made no changes to configs or to anything else that I can think of...

tho I was excited to be able to read the menus :)

someone should fix dis.  ;)... btw, no idea what you mean selection box?. you mean when you have it clicked/highlighted on a niggit map i think...I read maybe we can RE-save the wmo placement with tallis,? but I cant get tallis to open any .adt

EDIT: I notice that with .M2's when i  "Save current" the selection box gets cleared, but when I save all, the box does not get cleared.. With .wmo, the box doesn't get cleared on save all OR save current.

..I wanna build shit!

I have the same problem but some time ago it worked.
Some time ago i implemented a chapel (pretty sure it's a wmo) it was saved and i can see it in highly and intake as well. A couple of days back i just did the same (a other chapel but wmo aswell) but it can only be seen in noggit ._.
Do i have to just open the adt with taliis and save it?

I believe saving it with Taliis would work, however taliis does not open .adts made with the newest release of noggit.

well uhm... I found this which is a good substitute for adding objects / buildings to my maps....

http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/world-o ... ost2199121 (http://www.ownedcore.com/forums/world-of-warcraft/world-of-warcraft-emulator-servers/wow-emu-general-releases/288812-sql-patch-all-buildings-models-etc-gameobjects-12.html#post2199121" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)

It would be nice if this function of Noggit was working though. easier to design.

But <3 for this post on ownedcore.

What has this to do with noggit ?
They create gObjects for buildings in MySQL database. So you can spawn buildings server side.
Noggit is client side.

Hm  here is my log file :  http://pastebin.com/2HZJjbMP (http://pastebin.com/2HZJjbMP" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;)
My noggit don't save WMOs  imported from text file or copy / paste. M2 and map edit save fine.

I had the issue where i could see my wmo's in noggit but ingame some just would not show up.

I tried moving them..rotating them resaving with and without water. Still the same

Running it through fileinfo.exe  checked the txt for any file number conflicts or max line header no variations but nope all good.  File info'd ALL the adt's and checked all numbers against the one with wmo's only showing up in noggit but missing ingame. All fine.

-What got the wmo's showing ingame again..was simply copy and pasting them in noggit.-

They show up ingame now, and i just delete the ones that didnt show up ingame.

I've starting having this issue too. (I can save m2's just fine, but WMO's will NOT save. Only some, seemingly random.)

I produced this bug twice by building out a super simple wall structure (which was going to enclose a village). After I finished, most of the buildings and walls vanished, but not all of them. As a side-note, some random things happened with the textures too.

It's important to note that it looks like they have been saved, although the next time I load up noggit I get to see the lack-of WMO's.

EDIT:

If it helps, the walls/buildings were produced from first inserting the WMO from the .txt file, then copy/pasting them to fill up the rest of what was needed.

Hmm please if you have this bug. Try to turn on F7 lines and see if you cant save WMOs if they are on 2 ADTs?
Meens that they go across a green line. If thi is so tr to modify the adt beside that it is shown also marked as TO SAVE in the map menu (m key) and if it get saved then.

Doesn't work for me. Wmo's still don't save. I have all different variations of these saving methods.
