Have a few questions.
« on: September 09, 2015, 02:18:36 pm »
Tried to look around if anyone had these errors, but didn't seem to find any solution.

I am new to all this noggit, and these errors seem pretty common, (probably not even errors), but I still need a llittle help to be able to move on level designing.

First, I am having trouble loading up m2's inside Noggit - it feels like Noggit and WoW Model Viewer isn't linked some how. I looked at the path in the Noggit.config folder, but i am pretty sure it's the right path.

In noggit, I click on the "Assist > Last M2 from MV", after i have found the model i want in MV ofcourse, but nothing happens. Also tried to use the "From text file" option, which didnt work either.

Next question is, when I try to paint textures on the ground, i can't paint everywhere and I am limited in a few specific "squares" or chunks that i can't paint inside.

If anyone can help, please reply in the comments. Thanks in advnace

Your Noggit and your ModelViewer have to use seperate copies of the WoW client, each pointing towards a client respectively.

Noggit will read the log.txt file that registers the last object you open inside ModelViewer. So all you have to do is make sure Noggit can read that text file. Once in Noggit, you do SHIFT V (I think) and the object is spawned. You only do that once and if you need more copies of that same object all you have to do is use CTRL V

So make sure your paths are setup correctly. Open your config files and look for mistakes with the paths such as # or typos

As for the textures, simply select a .blptexture (from the current ADT)  with the painting tool and use shift plus mouse to paint. You should be able to paint every chunk on the ADT where the texture is available. If you are switching textures then keep in mind every ADT must have 4 textures at all times.
